Country Manager (m/f/x) Netherlands & Belgium

As an operator of B2B platforms, our client provides an infrastructure through which companies can efficiently carry out their transactions and business relationships through digital networking. The Group includes a B2B network and a B2B procurement platform. Our client is represented in 14 European countries and employs 550 people. Since its foundation, the entire company has expanded continuously and profitably, achieving a turnover of over 280 million euros and became one of the top players in electronic procurement with high growth rates and excellent prospects for the future.

For the local office in Maastricht (NL) we are looking for a

Country Manager (m/f/x) Netherlands & Belgium

Your tasks:

  • Managing all operations within the Netherlands and Belgium
  • Assuming responsibility for profit, turnover and quality targets
  • Agreeing on annual budgets and preparing a detailed annual business plan
  • Employee management, development, support and motivation so they can achieve revenue growth
  • Employee recruitment, on-boarding and training to agreed procedures and standards
  • Ensure that all performance issues and other issues are resolved appropriately and efficiently
  • Maintain the reputation of the company by maintaining high personal standards
  • Expansion of commercial operations including new businesses
  • Responsible for local sales, supplier management and national marketing
  • Disciplinary responsibility for the local customer service team
  • Ensure mediation and effective communication between HQ and local employees and good communication between departments 
  • Ensure awareness and consideration of competition, trends in the national market and opportunities

Your qualifications:

  • You have 5+ years professional management/leadership experience, ideally as a country manager or manager of a cross-functional team
  • You have an excellent understanding of the development of scalable business models in e-commerce, experience in e-procurement and/or platform business is an advantage
  • You bring your native Dutch and excellent English languages skills to our international work environment; knowledge of German would be beneficial
  • You are an excellent communicator and networker and you are able to build sustainable relationships successfully.
  • You bring excellent organizational and analytical skills and the willingness to travel internationally
