(Senior) Controls Engineer for Hydraulic System Innovation (m/w)

Our customer is a world leading interdisciplinary, multi-industry international company, with 80.000 employees worldwide and branch companies locating in Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. Among those branch companies is one of the world's leading companies in the development and production of modular drive systems from hydraulics, electrical engineering and electronics that is regarded as a technology leader in the field of high-pressure hydraulics for mobile machinery applications.

Our customer plans to set up different Science & Technology Innovation Centers whose business units will be organized under the groups responsibility and which will focus its efforts on tracking, analyzing, and researching for most advanced technologies in mobile hydraulics. The European Innovation Center will be based in Aachen, Germany, where it will closely work together with the local Technical University and other leading European R&D Institutes. In addition, there will be a very close cooperation with the R&D units of the groups companies all over the world.

For the development of innovative products, from ideation to prototype construction, always with a view to the commercial usability of the innovation project, we are looking for a

(Senior) Controls Engineer for Hydraulic System Innovation

Responsible for:

Hydraulic System Innovation:

- Design and analyzed hydraulic systems schematics with focus on crawler hydraulic excavators

- Propose hydraulic system design parameters according to the machine performance requirements

- Design controls for hydraulic systems

- Provide, calculate, and select the specific performance requirements for the related hydraulic components

- Design and create diagnostics and prognostics for hydraulic systems components

- Hydraulic system simulation, design and implementation of various tests

Commercialize research results:

- Feasibility analysis

- Market and cost analysis

Skill requirements:

- Bachelor, Master, or PhD degree with focus on hydraulic engineering, mechanical engineering, electro-mechanical engineering

- More than 5 years of related experience

- Must have a solid understanding of hydraulic engineering and controls theory

- Basic understanding of computer control software and hardware

- Familiar with hydraulic system working principle and advanced control methods

- Familiar with the working principles of hydraulic pumps, valves, motors and cylinders

- Hydraulic system design experience and hydraulic control design capability such as hydraulic components integrated ability experience would be a plus

- Fluent in English
